Olive detergent for wool and silk

Our valuable pressed olive oil is processed into a soap that has been specially developed for textiles made from wool and silk. This soap has excellent cleansing, caring and moisturising properties. Thanks to the sugar surfactant, the result is a soap-based mild detergent that is easy to use even in hard water and retains all the positive properties of a soap detergent. All the oils used (olive oil, rapeseed oil and sunflower oil) and the essential lavender oil are 100% organically grown. Our olive detergent for wool and silk offers:

Scope of application

Ideal for delicates, wool and silk up to 40 °C, both in the washing machine and for hand washing.

Instructions for use

• Washing machine: Pour the olive detergent into the detergent compartment of the machine. Do not spray the detergent concentrate directly onto the dry laundry to avoid colour changes
• Hand wash: Add 15-30 ml per approx. 5 litres of water to the pre-soaked water, then place the laundry in it. Only move gently. Adjust the rinse water to the temperature of the wash water to avoid temperature shocks

• Soft + medium hardness range: 60 ml
• Hardness range hard: 90 ml

Yield

1 litre of olive detergent is sufficient for 17 washes in the soft and medium hardness range with a load of approx. 2.5 kg.

Recommendation

For optimum washing results, we recommend adding 40 ml of Sonett laundry conditioner to the fabric softener compartment. This refreshes delicate colours, helps to rinse out detergent residues better and smoothes the fibres.

• Sugar surfactant: 5-15%
• Soap made from rapeseed oil/sunflower oil from certified organic cultivation: 1-5%
• Vegetable alcohol (ethanol): 1-5%

• Lavender essential oil from certified organic cultivation: <1%
• Balsamic additives from certified organic cultivation/wild collection: <1%
• Water, swirled: ad 100%

Storage

Store the product between 10 and 25 °C if possible. At temperatures below 10 °C, the product can become more solid and cloudy, which disappears again when warm with gentle shaking.

Origin and properties of the ingredients

• Olive soap: From centuries-old olive groves in the Mediterranean region of Italy, Spain and Greece. The olive oil is obtained by mechanical processes such as pressing and centrifuging in controlled organic quality. Saponified with potassium hydroxide solution, it forms the main ingredient of the detergent. Olive oil is the best oil raw material for a mild, moisturising soap
• Rape seed oil soap/sunflower oil soap: Serves to increase the washing power. Rapeseed, linseed and sunflowers are grown in our temperate Central European climate to produce oil, also in certified organic quality
• Ethanol: Is obtained by fermenting starchy plants such as corn and potatoes. It helps to keep the soap liquid and improves the grease dissolving power of the detergent
• Sugar surfactant: Obtained from sugar, starch and coconut fat. It keeps lime soap in suspension in hard water and prevents it from settling on the laundry
